New Update
Sorry that it has been so long since I have written in the blog. It has been a long stretch on the road the past eight weeks. I have had some great experiences out here such as playing with Michelle Wie at the 84 Lumber Classic. I wouldn’t say that it was as big of an experience like playing with Phil Mickelson, but it was still great for me to get used to playing in front of lots of people. It’s also nice to be able to play in the media circus that follows her so that I will be more prepared when they are there for me. Michelle is a nice girl and has a lot of game for a 16 year old girl but I think that playing in men’s tournaments hurts her game at this point in her career. It is amazing how much pressure she is under to succeed in men’s tournaments and that seems to hurt her confidence.
I will tell you that the experience I have gained so far this year cannot have a price tag. I feel that I am a much better player now than I was a year ago and if I have to go back to Q school this year I feel that I will be able to use my experiences from the tour to help me get back out here next year. I do have two more tournaments left to play in Las Vegas and Orlando so that I can make enough money to keep my status out here. I promise you that I am working as hard and as smart as I can. My putting really showed some promise this week in Greensboro and I can’t wait to get to Las Vegas to get going again. I am learning how to deal with playing so many tournaments in a row. It has been great but a bit exhausting. I really appreciate all of the support that everyone has given me throughout the year. Look for some updates and good golf in the next few weeks!
