Fed Ex St. Jude Classic

If anyone ever thinks that it gets hot in California, they haven't ever been to Memphis. When you have 90 to 95 degree temps. with 90% humidity, that's when you can say it is HOT! The golf course that we played this week changed its greens two years ago. They used to be bent grass that were extremely soft because of all the water they had to keep on them so they wouldn't die in the heat. But now they are champions bermuda and they are extremely firm and have a ton of grain. But the tough part about them is that the grain doesn't lay over like normal bermuda, so the ball almost hovers on top of the grass so it is very difficult to read putts. I hit the ball very good all week with the exception of a couple bad swings but lipped out more putts than I have in any other tournament. The good thing was that I made another cut and added to my earnings. I feel like I am an inch away from really breaking through out here. My game in coming into shape just at the right time since I am about three weeks away from playing 16 tournament in 18 weeks. I can't wait and I will keep all of you posted and thank you all for the outstanding support!

Byron Nelson Classic

Getting into the tournament on Wednesday morning was going to make the week a little more interesting because I hadn't ever seen either golf course that we were going to be playing that week. I knew that there was nothing I could do about that, so I had to put full trust into my caddie since he had seen them both before. It kind of reminded me of the tournament in Houston since I wasnt able to play a practice round there because I was sick the whole week. I just had to really stick to one shot at a time and hit it where my caddie told me to. This actually worked out great because I learned to actually "play" the game itself that week. I hadn't really been hitting the ball all that well but knew that I just had to get the ball in the hole. I putted well that week and my short game was really starting to peak. I was able to make the cut and make a decent check. Over all I was pretty happy with my performance and I feel good about the experience I gained from flying in on Wednesday night and then having to tee off on Thursday morning. The great lesson here was to not worry about the things that I couldn't control!

Zurich Classic

It was nice to finally play a week 100% healthy and I was able to give myself a chance play on the weekend. I didnt play all that well the first round but was able to putt well and get up and down when I needed to. During the second round I got hot early and had it 6 under thru 7 and then hit every green on my back side but only made one birdie. I thought that the third round was the best round of the week for me. The wind was blowing at a constant 35mph and gusting to 40mph. It was tough! I hung in there and shot two under par and played my way into the third to last group on sunday. This was a great experience and it was also great because I was paired with Phil Mickelson. He was a great guy to play with and it was great to be able to compare my game against the leading money winner. It was awesome to play in front of thousands of people on every hole. Walking from the green to the next tee was just like walking through a sea of people. They were all chanting "Phil", but it was still a great experience for the future. Even though I didnt finish nearly as well as I would have liked to I think this a great experience and I learned alot from this tournament.
