05/01/2006: "Zurich Classic"

It was nice to finally play a week 100% healthy and I was able to give myself a chance play on the weekend. I didnt play all that well the first round but was able to putt well and get up and down when I needed to. During the second round I got hot early and had it 6 under thru 7 and then hit every green on my back side but only made one birdie. I thought that the third round was the best round of the week for me. The wind was blowing at a constant 35mph and gusting to 40mph. It was tough! I hung in there and shot two under par and played my way into the third to last group on sunday. This was a great experience and it was also great because I was paired with Phil Mickelson. He was a great guy to play with and it was great to be able to compare my game against the leading money winner. It was awesome to play in front of thousands of people on every hole. Walking from the green to the next tee was just like walking through a sea of people. They were all chanting "Phil", but it was still a great experience for the future. Even though I didnt finish nearly as well as I would have liked to I think this a great experience and I learned alot from this tournament.
